yahoo presents new search engine

Recently Yahoo! completely new search engine and with that also their collaboration with Google. There is a rumour that Yahoo!’s search engine is using its own index and ranking system. For approx. a year ago, Yahoo! bought Inktomi and since then it has been speculated about when Yahoo! would replace Google’s results with the results from Inktomi’s index. It wouldn’t be surprising if Yahoo! hasn’t replaced the Google results with the results from Inktomi’s index at all, but instead developed a completely new search engine.
We are obviously following the development on Yahoo!’s new search engine in order to search engine optimize our customers’ home pages in the best way even in this engine.
google is planning for office in scandinavia

Google is planning to open an office in Scandinavia, either in Stockholm or Copenhagen. The expanding search engine market has got Google searching for an advertisement sales manager for Scandinavia. The new manager will build a Nordic team to improve the awareness of sponsored links (Google’s variant of sponsored links is called AdWord, “the green boxes to the left”) in Scandinavia.
microsoft takes up the fight with google

Since some time, Microsoft has got a beta version of something that may be a new search engine on the web site beta.search.msn.com.
Microsoft is not revealing what this is used for. Since last summer, the company has been testing MSNBot, a prototype of a robot (A robot searches for web sites and indexes them).
The results from the robot are, according to information, used only internally. Microsoft is not trying to hide that this is part of staring competing with Google
2004 is predicted to be a hectic year if dealing with search engine optimization, and at MIG, we are following the scenario, in order to carry on supplying search engine friendly web design and qualitative search engine optimization.
webdetect – a success

Due to the rich flow of customers to WebDetect, the cost per customer has decreased. Therefore we lower the price from 5880 SEK to 2940 SEK per year as from 2nd February. We hope and believe that the high interest for WebDetect will remain.

MSN are following the stream by releasing their own toolbar. It offers nearly enough the same features as Google’s variant. You can search the web and you get a built in “pop up killer” feature, and some other features. You can download a beta version at MSN.
